About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Mijn Auto app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

What the app does

Mijn Auto helps you manage your car and connects you with garages and towing companies. We only bring you together: the agreement about a repair or tow, the price, payment and warranty are between you and the garage or towing company, and we are not a party to it. No payments are made through the app.

AI and information

Answers from the smart mechanic, warning light readings, second opinions and car value estimates are general information and estimates only, and can be wrong. They do not replace an inspection by a qualified mechanic. If you are unsure whether your car is safe, don't drive it and call emergency services or roadside assistance. RDW data, fuel prices and other outside data are shown as they are, without a guarantee that they are correct.

How you behave in the app

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Not allowed: insults, threats or discrimination, sexual or violent content, spam, fake reviews, false information, pretending to be someone else, and anything against the law. You can report any message or review and block any user in a chat. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or delete the account of anyone who breaks them, without warning.

Garages and towing companies

If you register a business account, you confirm that you represent a real, registered business and that the details you enter are correct. You alone are responsible for your work, prices, invoices, taxes and terms and conditions, and for handling your customers' data under the GDPR. We can suspend your account if your details turn out to be wrong or customers report misuse.

Your account

The app is for people aged 16 and older. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time in the More tab.

Liability

We do our best to keep the app working well, but we can't promise it is always available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage caused by the work of garages or towing companies, or for decisions you make based on information in the app. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes and law
